The Italian media today highlight Liverpool’s interest in Bologna attacking midfielder Lewis Ferguson.

The news is brought by Il Bianconeri, who says the Reds, as well as Juventus and Lazio, are keeping an eye on the Scotland international.

There are not many details on whether Liverpool have opened talks for the transfer yet, as the report only claims that Ferguson managed to draw their attention.

It’s said the midfielder became one of the ‘most sought-after’ players in the market, and negotiations for his transfer should evolve in the coming months.

Liverpool should probably watch out for the competition from Lazio, because it’s said the Biancocelesti are already taking steps to make his signing in the January transfer window.

Bologna only spent €2m to sign Ferguson from Aberdeen in the summer of 2022, and he’s already valued by Transfermarkt at €12m.

The midfielder has good numbers for the Serie A side this season, with three goals and four assists in 15 games. In international football, he’s still making his way with Scotland’s team, with 10 caps for them so far.
