Even though the season has barely started, it seems some players may have already done enough to draw attention from potential buyers.

This is the case of Valencia attacker Gonçalo Guedes, who, according to Fichajes, is now a target for Premier League giants Liverpool.

The outlet writes that the 24-year-old’s start to the season ‘hasn’t gone unnoticed’ for a couple of clubs, and The Reds are now ‘very interested’ in signing the player.

It’s pointed out that Guedes didn’t have such a great season in 2020/21, but now, with two goals and two assists so far, that’s enough to show his potential again.

Since the player ‘hasn’t spoken about his possible departure’, a potential transfer will depend on the wish of club owner Peter Lim and president Anil Murthy. Signed from Paris Saint Germain in a €40m operation back in 2018, the Portuguese starlet is now valued by Transfermarkt at €25m.

It turns out that Guedes, who can play both on the wing and more centrally, wouldn’t be the only La Liga attacker who’s been drawing Liverpool’s interest this season. It’s also been reported that the Reds are following Villarreal star Arnaut Danjuma.
