Liverpool have included Leicester City’s FA Cup hero Youri Tielemans in their target ‘list’, according to Het Nieuwsblad.

Georginio Wijnaldum’s contract with the Reds expires on June 30th and he will leave Anfield as a free agent.

The Merseyside club are in the market searching for the Dutchman’s successor, and have identified Tielemans as a target.

Brendan Rodgers’ side suffered a defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur in the last game of the season and the loss meant they will not qualify for the Champions League.

The 24-year-old was in tears after the final whistle last Sunday and that was partly due to the fact his side failed to finish in top four. The report then states the ‘sadness also reflected the realisation’ it might have been his last match for the Foxes.

Although the Belgium international loves the Premier League side, he is also eager to play at the highest level.

If Leicester decide to open the door, Het Nieuwsblad claim a move to Liverpool ‘could become one of the options’. The same should also apply for Manchester United or any of the top clubs in Spain.
