Last month, we covered claims from Germany which stated Liverpool look best placed to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah next summer. It was also suggested the Premier League side could soon start talks with him.
On October 17th, Bild reported the 28-year-old dreams of moving to the Premier League where Liverpool are one of his suitors.
InterMilan.it mention Liverpool as one of the contenders when discussing Inter Milan’s plans for the defender.
The Nerazzurri have been after the centre-back for some time but face ‘huge competition’. Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus are tagged as clubs who have ‘great interest’ in him.
Tah has less than a year left on his contract and the Bundesliga winners aren’t willing to sell him in January. As it stands, he’s more likely to leave Xabi Alonso’s side as a free agent next summer.
This makes him a market opportunity for several clubs, but the report states the deal is very complex for the Serie A winners.
It’s ‘not certain’ the Inter officials are convinced it’s worth competing with Liverpool and the La Liga side.
Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen have identified AC Milan’s Malick Thiaw as a candidate to replace Tah.
