Gustavo Mascardi was the main man behind Paul Dybala’s move from Argentina to Europe. The forward joined Palermo from South American club Instituto in 2012.

After spending three seasons with the Italian side, he joined Juventus. The 24-year-old has been one of the standout players for the Turin club since joining them, winning the domestic double in the last three seasons.

Tutto Mercato Web claims Dybala has emerged as a transfer target for Liverpool. The Reds are said to have made contact with Mascardi.

Juventus are after Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and Sport Witness confirmed on July 4th about the Old Lady’s interest in the forward. Sport Witness also reported the Portuguese international wants to leave the Champions League winners in the summer transfer window.

The report claims as Juve are trying to conclude a deal with Real Madrid for Ronaldo, Liverpool are trying to make an attempt for Dybala. There is a willingness from the Merseyside club to “formulate a concrete offer” as Liverpool are “focusing strongly” on Dybala.

From the player’s side there could also be a willingness to “facilitate negotiation” with Liverpool.
