Earlier on Monday, De Telegraaf stated Ryan Gravenberch is flattered with the interest he has received from Liverpool and other English clubs. It was also explained that the Reds have to convince Bayern Munich to sign him.
The midfielder has struggled to enjoy regular game time in his first season in Germany and Thomas Tuchel has publicly insisted the situation is unlikely to change this season.
Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg took to Twitter to state the 21-year-old is now the fourth-choice for Tuchel. He also talks about Liverpool’s interest.
Plettenberg claims Jürgen Klopp’s side and Manchester United are now the ‘favourites’ to land the Netherlands international if the Bavarian club were to give the ‘green light’ for his transfer.
As it stands, the Merseyside club don’t have an agreement in place to sign the former Ajax man. The Sky reporter adds the Bayern leaders don’t rule out a possibility of the Dutchman leaving the club until deadline day.
This would certainly please Klopp and Liverpool, who are still in the market looking for another midfielder.
❗️Ryan #Gravenberch: He wants to play regularly. But at the moment he’s the No. 4 in central midfield under #Tuchel!
➡️ Understand that Liverpool & ManUtd will be the favorites for the player should Bayern give the green light to leave. But no verbal agreements yet. #LFC |… pic.twitter.com/YGRjvrSqu9
