According to claim in the Spanish media Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak is receiving attention ahead of the next transfer window, with Liverpool again linked with the Slovenian.
Jurgen Klopp may decide to bring in a goalkeeper this summer following the problems they’ve had in this position this season, but he’s surely going to give Loris Karius every chance to prove one isn’t needed.
AS have today reported Liverpool, PSG, Arsenal and Juventus are all monitoring the situation with Oblak, but it would take a huge offer to sign the player.
It’s reported Oblak has a buyout clause of €100m and is contracted to Atletico Madrid until June 2021. However, with no signsof extending his contract with the Spanish club it seems the 25 year old may have a decision to make this summer about his future, if any of the interested clubs are willing to meet his termination fee.
Despite these reports it’s unlikely Liverpool would offer €100m, even though Klopp must be aware Oblak is better than what he has.
If Liverpool were to make such a move it would be a huge signal of ambition, both on a domestic and European stage.
