On Monday, we covered claims from Belgium about Liverpool and Thorgan Hazard.
DH said ‘Liverpool enters the dance’ and explained ‘it’s war’ between Borussia Monchengladbach and their player.
That’s because he’d rather move to Borussia Dortmund and stay in the Bundesliga. Although flattered by Liverpool interest, the player would be concerned he wouldn’t get enough playing time given the options Jurgen Klopp has at Anfield.
Gladbach would prefer a sale to Liverpool, with it being claimed the Reds are willing to offer more.
Belgium newspaper Het Nieuwsblad also had an article that day. They claimed Dortmund have made a €42m offer, but Liverpool ‘offers’ more.
Foot Mercato now say Liverpool, as well as Atletico Madrid, are ‘determined to recruit’ the player. They add that they revealed Dortmund had serious interest back in October.
According to their information now, Dortmund remain on pole for the signing.
So what’s going on with Liverpool? There’s a reasonable chance the club are being used to pressure BVB into offering more money.
