Rafael Camacho continues to be one of the hottest topics in the Portuguese football media, as it looks like Sporting and Benfica are battling for the Liverpool player.

Newspaper A Bola brings a story this Monday saying the Lions are now convinced he won’t be moving to Lisbon on loan, and that’s why they’re preparing themselves to try and get a permanent deal.

According to the outlet, Sporting can pay for a €5m move. However, Liverpool are playing hard, and currently demand a fee of £8m.

It’s claimed that the Lions have Camacho’s wish on their side, so they hope he will push for the move and convince Liverpool to let him go for less.

Camacho’s contract with Liverpool expires in 2020, and the player reportedly rejected a new deal due to the lack of playing time for the Anfield side.

That’s why many clubs have been joining the race, with Wolves and RB Leipzig both getting a mention in A Bola’s story.
