Liverpool value Kostas Tsimikas between €8-10m, but AS Roma are currently pushing to try and secure the Greek defender on loan with an option to buy.
That’s according to journalist Eleonora Trotta, who reports that Liverpool have set their asking price as Roma try to get Tsimikas. She also reports that the Greek defender has other options on the table.
La Repubblica, via Voce Giallorossa, meanwhile, go into more detail on the matter. They explain that with the end of the transfer window fast approaching, Roma are working to secure signing.
Left back is a particular issue in the squad and the latest name to be linked with a move is the Liverpool defender.
According to the newspaper the Italian side have intensified their contacts regarding Tsimikas. They already have a verbal agreement with the player in place. He is considering leaving Liverpool this summer after the arrival of Milos Kerkez.
The current proposal on the table at Liverpool is a loan with an option to buy. Liverpool, though, have shown initial resistance to that deal. They are pushing for a permanent transfer instead.
Further developments are expected in the coming hours to determine whether the two parties will be able to come to a compromise on the matter. Marseille and Nottingham Forest are also reportedly interested and providing potential competition.
