RB Salzburg star Karim Adeyemi remains on Liverpool’s ‘wish list’ for the summer, but a move to Borussia Dortmund is looking almost certain.
That’s according to BILD, who say recent comments from Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeneß suggest a move to Dortmund is all but done.
Adeyemi is one of the hottest properties in Europe, with a series of impressive performances for Salzburg and a tally of 18 goals and four assists in 29 games in all competitions, earning him plenty of attention.
Liverpool have long been named as admirers, but it was felt their interest may have cooled following the signing of Luis Diaz at the end of the January transfer window.
It seems that is not the case, though, with BILD reporting that they, as well as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan and RB Leipzig, have the 20-year-old on their summer ‘wishlist’.
All of those look set to miss out on the highly-rated youngster, though, with Dortmund set to complete a swoop.
BILD report that the striker ‘has decided to move’ to the Bundesliga club, and it is now only a matter of the transfer fee.
This is backed up by a statement from Hoeneß, who they report as saying, “he (Adeyemi) is basically a very good player. If you want to get someone like that, you have to show him a perspective. Dortmund have an easier time of it.”
Those comments are seen as a clear indication that the player is on his way to Dortmund and has rejected the advances from elsewhere.
Liverpool, then, need to get their skates on if they are to get their man, with the fact Dortmund are yet to settle a transfer fee meaning there is still a chance for them to get this deal done, albeit a slim one.
