Liverpool are ahead in the chase for Brighton & Hove Albion star Alexis Mac Allister in the summer.
The 24-year-old was in tears after the Seagulls’ last tie of the season against Aston Villa on Sunday. Roberto De Zerbi has admitted the midfielder could have already played his last game for Brighton.
Olé in Argentina have relayed the Brighton manager’s comments on the midfielder and then add ‘Liverpool awaits him’.
Mac Allister has several suitors and among them are the Reds. It’s claimed they appear as the ‘great candidate to buy’ him in the summer.
Jürgen Klopp’s side are looking to restructure their midfield next season after the exits of Naby Keïta, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arthur Melo and James Milner.
This is where the Argentina international would emerge as an option for the Merseyside club, who may give him the No.10 shirt at Anfield. The World Cup winner has already said goodbye to Brighton ahead of the ‘million-dollar sale’.
With the transfer window opening next month, Olé add Mac Allister will have enough time to decide whether to join Liverpool or another club. The player will cost between €60m and €80m.
