When the English media said Rafael Camacho has rejected a contract extension at Liverpool, we pointed out that it would become a big story in the Portuguese press.

And today, newspapers A Bola and O Jogo don’t disappoint us, as both of them have big articles on the attacking midfielder’s situation, each one of them with some exclusive information.

Starting with O Jogo, they say the player had ‘one foot’ at Sporting in January, but his loan was blocked by Jurgen Klopp. Now they claim to know that the Lions are still interested in his signing.

A Bola‘s story is a bit more complete. Starting with their exclusive information, they say that despite competition from Germany in Spain, people close to the process believe the player has a preference for Sporting.

But for Sporting to sign Camacho, they will need some ‘effort, patience and art’ to convince Liverpool. It’s claimed that the Reds will demand a big amount for the sale, and would only accept to loan the player out in case he agrees a new deal with the club.

Sporting would have problems to afford him either way, and that’s why they need to wait until Liverpool have a final stand on Camacho’s situation.
