It’s no secret Atletico Madrid are looking to sign a prolific striker this summer, and reports have strongly linked them to Diego Costa. Manager Diego Simeone would much like to have his former striker back, but Chelsea aren’t playing ball.
Kevin Gameiro is also believed to be an option, but Barcelona have been linked with him also.
According to Spanish newspaper ABC, Liverpool striker Divock Origi is also on the wish-list of Atletico Madrid.
There is no mention of any offers yet as such, but Diego Simeone would ideally like to sign a new striker soon. However, it’s unlikely Liverpool will want to part ways with Origi, especially considering Klopp wanted to sign the Belgian at Borussia Dortmund.
Origi also flourished under Klopp last season, and is likely to be a key player for the Reds next season.
