As has been widely reported over the past week or so, Liverpool are taking an interest in Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz.
The young Turkey international might have convinced Vincenzo Montella to use him at international level, but the 18-year-old is still to fully do so with Max Allegri in Turin, even though the manager is a big admirer of his talent.
His lack of game time has been one of the question marks surrounding his future, which could allow Liverpool to swoop in, as explained by Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday.
They make it clear that Juventus ‘would not want to deprive themselves’ of the young starlet, whom they manage to snatch from Bayern Munich back in 2022, but they also know how rich certain interested clubs are.
Liverpool are among those, and it’s believed the Reds ‘have the arguments’, meaning the money, to make the Serie A side ‘sway’ from their stance.
Either way, they would not want to ‘sit at the table’ for less than €30m, meaning that this would be the starting point of negotiations, with it likely to go higher considering how talented Yildiz is and how much money Premier League sides can spend.
