Liverpool are offering Ruben Amorim a contract, according to claims from Portugal.
Journalist Pedro Sepulveda presents some exclusive news saying the Reds are putting a three-year deal on the table.
It’s said Liverpool have ‘almost agreed’ financial terms with the Sporting manager, and the negotiations ‘remain positive’.
The Portuguese media has indeed been claiming that the Reds are in touch with the coach’s agent, and they would have a meeting this week.
Amorim is fully committed to Sporting for now, as they’re top of the Portuguese league table and he’s close to winning that title for the second time now.
His entourage, however, would obviously not ignore contacts from Liverpool, so it’s no surprise that he’s available for that job opportunity.
Amorim started his career at Casa Pia, having then managed Braga and arriving at Sporting in 2020. Since taking charge of the Lions, he’s won two League Cups, one Supercup and one Portuguese League. Now he seems close to leaving them with a new trophy in hands.
Whether Sepulveda has the inside line or just trying to get ahead isn’t clear, but his claims haven’t been backed up by the major Portuguese newspapers yet.
