On Sunday we covered a report from Record, which stated that should Liverpool move to sign Otavio from FC Porto then Marko Grujic wouldn’t be involved in the deal.

Grujic spent last season on loan with the Liga NOS side and they want to keep him, but Porto would rather, if both deals happen, keep them separate. It was also stated that one of the moves could happen without the other, they are not dependent on each other.

A Bola also had said something to say about Otavio and Liverpool, and it’s rather more dramatic. The Portuguese newspaper claim the Reds are in ‘advanced’ talks for the player’s signing, and he’s an ‘express request’ of manager Jurgen Klopp.

Porto are said to be referring to the player’s buyout clause, which A Bola state is €40m until the end of June, when it rises to €60m. Record had this a little differently, explaining the clause rises on July 15th.

A Bola, using their end of June claim, say it’s likely Liverpool will want to push for the player’s signing ‘in the coming hours’.
