Currently finishing off a very successful season at Fortuna Düsseldorf in Germany, Dodi Lukebakio is preparing himself to return to Watford, where his future will then be discussed.

Sent to the Bundesliga to get some game time under his belt, the Belgian forward has impressed far more than expected, scoring 14 goals and picking up five assists in all competitions this season, including an impressive hat trick against Bayern Munich.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed, and SportBild on Wednesday explained both Schalke 04 and RB Leipzig are interested in the 21-year-old, with the former of the two holding ‘concrete talks’ with the Hornets for a potential summer transfer.

However, they aren’t the only ones, as France Football claim Lyon have taken an interest in Lukebakio, scouting him a number of times throughout the season.

The French outlet believe the Watford winger’s value to be somewhere between €10-15m, but that seems far too low.

SportBild stated a fee in excess of €20m will be required to get Watford thinking, which sounds far more like it in today’s market, especially since the Premier League side spent around €5m last January to acquire his services from Charleroi.

The Hornets will want more than double his value.

Either that, or they’ll just keep him for next season.
