Takvim report AS Monaco were impressed with Alexander Sörloth’s performance during Trabzonspor’s 2-1 win against Fenerbahce last weekend.

The Norwegian, who’s currently on loan at Trabzonspor from Crystal Palace, is the top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig this season with 16 goals in 19 appearances, and he was key in his loanee club beating Fenerbahce.

The Turkish newspaper report Monaco scouts initially travelled to Trabzon to watch Fener forward Vedat Muriqi, but instead Sörloth has come to their attention.

According to Takvim, Monaco will continue to monitor the Crystal Palace owned player until the end of the season, but Trabzonspor are relaxed with the situation because the 24 year old is contracted to them for another 18 months.

Trabzonspor have the option to make the move permanent for €6m and subsequently this makes things a bit complicated for the French side if they want to sign Sörloth in the future.

The Norway international was recently asked about his future and insisted he’s focused on the Turkish side, not Crystal Palace.
