Missing out on a transfer to Barcelona in the summer, Jean-Michael Seri still has lofty ambitions, and Foot Mercato in France are claiming he’s now aiming for the Premier League.

The French website claim a source close to the dossier has informed them an ‘agent influential in the Premier League’ has been contracted to try and get the Ivory Coast international a move across the Channel.

Among the list of clubs happen to be both Manchester City and Manchester United, two outfits looking to do some business in January.

While Pep Guardiola will be looking towards strengthening his defence, the opportunity to sign a player who would fit his system down to a T might be too good to pass up, depending on Nice’s asking price.

Over the summer, the Ligue 1 side made it very clear they wouldn’t let him go for less than €40m, but that stance appears to have softened a bit since the club got knocked out of the Champions League.

As for Manchester United, José Mourinho has already expressed his desire to potentially see one or two new faces at Old Trafford over the coming weeks, and a player capable of unlocking defences with his passing could be a priority, especially if Paul Pogba ends up getting injured or suspended again.

For now, we’ll just have to wait and see if this agent is capable of pulling off what should be a relatively easy sell.
