Leicester City seem to be closing in on the signing of Nicolas Gonzalez from Fiorentina.
The latest reports on this pursuit claim the Foxes only need a few millions more to get to a full agreement for the winger’s arrival.
According to Corriere Fiorentino (via Fiorentina News), Leicester City already found a deal with the player, with him accepting a contract until 2027 where he’d make €4m net per season.
Now €5m is said to be the difference between what’s on the table and what Fiorentina demands.
The Foxes have offered €35m, while La Viola ask for €40m, and the Italian side want that extra money because that’s how much they’ll need to send to the winger’s former clubs.
Fiorentina News writes that the possibility of Gonzalez’s departure from the club is becoming ‘more and more concrete’ and the ‘next week will be decisive’ for this deal.
Leicester City’s first €34m offer had been reported by the Italian media last week, and even though La Viola made their best to dismiss that at the time, there’s big insistence from the Italian media that the Foxes are indeed pushing for this signing.
