Alaves haven’t given up on signing Leonardo Ulloa from Leicester City, according to Marca. The Spanish newspaper has had a look in their Tuesday edition at several clubs and deals they’re still trying to get over the line… with the transfer window already beginning to shut.
Claudio Ranieri has made it clear that Leicester City don’t want to sell or loan Ulloa during the current transfer window, feeling he needs the player in his squad. Ulloa himself has been very public about his desire to leave Leicester City before the deadline, and has more or less pleaded to be let go.
A fee would likely be over €10m, which could be a problem for Alaves, especially matched with having to get near Ulloa’s wages. The Argentine may not be among Leicester’s highest paid players, but he certainly would be in that category at Alaves.
There’s not long left and it’s even a little late for Ulloa to go on strike, this one is going to be tense.
