Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss is likely to see his loan deal at Stuttgart made permanent.
That’s according to BILD, who report that ‘no-one would object’ to the German side signing him from Leicester permanently.
The Moroccan is currently on loan at the Bundesliga side, joining them at the end of the transfer window. But that includes a mandatory purchase option.
BILD explain that this is ‘tied to very low hurdles’. If these are met, Stuttgart will have to sign him permanently. Nobody would be disappointed if this happened as he’s made a flying start to life at the club.
The newspaper even states that Stuttgart see it as ‘almost certain’ that Khannouss will be playing for them next season. The conditions in the deal are very likely to be met.
The obligation is set at €18m plus €10m in potential bonuses. Stuttgart already paid a €3.5m loan fee to get him from Leicester. This performances have already paid that off as far as they’re concerned.
He’s been ‘enchanting’ their fans since day one, with a recent report even likening him to Arjen Robben. That’s to do with his trick of cutting inside before unleashing an ‘infamous low shot’.
If he continues on the positive track he’s set off on, everyone will be happy and that obligation to sign him from Leicester will be one they’re happy to pay.
