Earlier on Tuesday, we covered claims from Italy that Leicester City were interested in Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi.
It was said that Enzo Maresca was the one trying to convince the player to swap the Champions League finalists for the Championship in hope of signing him in the coming weeks.
Calciomercato.it bring the latest on the situation, and explain that, for the time being, Leicester have only made an ‘enquiry’ for Sensi.
The Foxes are ‘waiting to see’ if they can further the talks at a later date, especially since the midfielder isn’t convinced just yet.
He, for now, ‘prioritises’ staying in the Italian league, but will be available at a rather affordable price for interested parties.
Inter Milan, by selling him, would be getting rid of €2m in wages, and also want around €3m in compensation for him to be sold.
That’s a fee Leicester are likely able to spend if he does agree to join them, but if that doesn’t happen and no Italian side come knocking, he will most likely let his contract run down and be a free agent in the summer.
