West Ham United have joined Leicester City and other clubs in the race to sign AC Milan’s Alexis Saelemaekers this summer, according to a report from Italy.
The winger was on loan at Bologna last season, scoring four goals and registering three assists from 32 games.
On Wednesday, Calciomercato stated Leicester are one of the three Premier League sides crazy about signing the 25-year-old. It was also said the Serie A side would need around €10-15m to part ways with him this summer.
A fresh report from Calciomercato provides the latest on the Foxes and on West Ham’s interest in the Belgium international.
The attacker has already returned to Milan and has started pre-season training under Paulo Fonseca. Despite this, his future is ‘certainly far from’ the San Siro as he’s not part of the Rossoneri’s project.
Saelemaekers has a market in the Premier League, where Leicester, West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town are interested parties.
It’s claimed Steve Cooper’s side have taken ‘very concrete steps’ to sign the player, while the Hammers have contacted Milan to ask about him in the ‘last few hours’.
