The Juventus search for a new midfielder continues, and Gazzetta dello Sport are on the ball this Thursday.
The Italian newspaper cover all the options currently on the Serie A champions’ alleged transfer wishlist, and on it happens to be one of the best players in the Premier League.
Currently with the France squad at the Euros waiting to find out whether or not he will be part of the first-team that faces Germany in the semi-final, N’Golo Kanté will have a choice to make when he returns to Leicester.
During his absence, speculation about his future has been rife, and the signing of Nampalys Mendy, although not a like for like replacement on paper, certainly hasn’t helped.
Juventus, as seems to be the case every summer, are looking for a new midfielder, and while Valencia’s André Gomes remains a priority, it’s the diminutive Frenchman who tops their list.
There’s been talk of a release clause, which has yet to be confirmed, but considering Vardy had one, it wouldn’t be surprising if one was present in Kanté’s contract.
Having qualified for the Champions League, Leicester will undoubtedly do their all to keep their star player, but at the end of the day, Juventus remains a more attractive name on paper than the current Premier League champions.
Decisions, decisions.
