Leicester City have shown ‘cautious interest’ in Spezia Calcio goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski ahead of the summer transfer window.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who say the goalkeeper could be given his second shot at a Premier League move after missing out on a switch to Southampton last summer.

Dragowski joined Spezia in August last year and has been impressing as the Italian side battle against relegation from Serie A.

That’s revived interest in him after he was close to Southampton last summer, with all parties agreeing on a deal before ‘bureaucratic quibbles’ caused by Brexit brought an end to any hopes and he went to Spezia instead.

Now Leicester are ‘latest team’ to show a ‘cautious interest’ in his signature ahead of a summer of potential change to the Foxes first-team.

They’ve had Danny Ward as their number one this season after Kasper Schmeichel brought his long association with Leicester to an end but the Wales goalkeeper has struggled for form, with several ropey performances to say the least.

The idea of change has been mooted for a while and it appears Dragowski is one of the names on their potential list of replacements.

At the moment it seems they’ve not done anything beyond scout him or something similar, but there is apparently interest there to keep an eye on in the coming months.
