On Wednesday, Corriere dello Sport stated Leicester City made a €25m offer for Matias Soulé, but that hasn’t convinced Juventus. It was also reported the Serie A side are demanding €35-40m to sanction his sale,
This is backed up Tuttosport, who claim Juve won’t be able to say no if there’s a €35m bid.
They further add Leicester’s pressure to sign the 21-year-old is ‘increasingly strong’.
The winger spent last season on loan at Frosinone, who were relegated from the Serie A. He scored 11 goals and registered three assists from 36 league games.
During his time at Frosinone, he played alongside Caleb Okoli, who completed a permanent move to Leicester earlier this week.
It’s claimed the 22-year-old defender is a ‘great friend’ of the Argentina U21 international, and he is acting as an agent to try and tempt Soulé to join Leicester. Okoli has explained the English club’s ambitious project to the attacker.
Soulé has a desire to make a switch to England if he were to leave the Old Lady. Leicester are keen to open their door for him, and Tuttosport say they are ready to offer €25m plus €5m bonuses ‘to entice’ Juve.
It’s not clear if this was the same bid that Corriere mentioned or if Leicester have raised the offer to €30m including bonuses. They are also ready to offer a five-year deal worth €3m per year to the player.
Juve manager Thiago Motta has to make a decision and if he has a clear plan for Soulé, it’ll be easier for them to reject offers. If not, it would be difficult for the Turin club to resist Leicester’s attempts to sign him.
