Leicester City defender Çağlar Söyüncü has been offered to Inter Milan on a free transfer in the January transfer window.
That’s according to FC Inter News, who cover the situation around the Turkish centre-back and a potential move to Italy next month.
They explain that Inter’s strategies for their defence next season ‘obviously revolve’ around Milan Skriniar and whether he renews his current contract.
At the moment there is a hope he will extend his stay at the club alongside Stefan de Vrij, meaning Inter will not need to enter the market for a replacement.
However, if one of the pair were to leave, a player will have to be signed and the list of those being monitored is ‘extensive’.
The latest to join that list is Leicester’s Çağlar Söyüncü, who is out of contract at the end of the season and is ‘eager for a change of scenery’.
He has been ‘offered’ to Inter, presumably by his agents, but the Italian side have decided to take their time, postponing any talks until their ideas are clearer.
That won’t be the case until they know what Skriniar, De Vrij and even Francesco Acerbi have provided answers to their own futures.
If they say they are staying then no signing will be needed, but if one of them departs then a replacement will be needed and Söyüncü is a player who will be evaluated as he looks to leave Leicester.
