Roma are still thinking about a move for Leicester City’s Boubakary Soumaré, but the Foxes demands make a deal difficult.
That’s according to Il Tempo, relayed by Planeta Roma, who report that Leicester are not open to the idea of letting the midfielder leave on loan again.
The newspaper reports that Roma have looked into the possibility of signing Soumaré this summer as they continue to try and strengthen their midfield options.
However, negotiations with Leicester have been ‘not easy at all’ as the Foxes are not open to loaning out Soumaré after he spent last season with Sevilla.
They are instead waiting to receive an offer that involves a definitive transfer and none of the current interested teams have offered that.
Roma, though, are working behind the scenes and have moved to hold the ‘first conversations’ with Soumaré’s agents over the last few days. They’ve discussed the viability of the operation and whether he would be open to moving to Italy.
It all depends on Leicester, who so far have been resistant to anymore loan deals, or at least any loan deals that don’t see them guaranteed a transfer fee at the end of it.
