As has been made clear over the past few weeks, Leicester City are interested in signing Jeremie Boga to bolster their attack.
Brendan Rodgers already wanted the Ivory Coast international in the summer, and the player came close to switching to the King Power Stadium, only for him to back out at the last minute to try and impose him at Atalanta.
He failed to do that during the first half of the campaign, and is now having to face the reality a loan deal in January is best for all parties, as Leicester continue to lurk.
It was claimed on Thursday that the Foxes had offered a package worth around €15m to secure his services on loan with a view to buy, but that figure doesn’t appear to be enough for the Serie A side.
According to La Nazione, relayed by Firenze Viola, Atalanta want to either sell him ‘immediately or in June’ for a fee ‘close to €20m’.
Therefore, Leicester would have to up their package deal by around €5m to get the nod from Atalanta.
Whether they do remains to be seen, but the Italians’ stance seems rather clear.
