Leicester City midfielder Boubakary Soumaré is ‘crazy’ about sealing a deadline day move to Sevilla having waited for most of the summer for it to happen.
That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who say the Leicester man is still waiting for approval to fly to Spain to complete the transfer.
The newspaper reports that those in charge at the Sánchez-Pizjuán were ‘working on the details’ of the move for the Leicester City man last night, with the hope he’ll arrive on loan with an option to buy.
The technical team at the Spanish club see him as the ideal replacement for veteran Fernando, and have been trying to make a deal work for several weeks.
Soumaré, for his part, is ‘crazy’ about the idea of the move and has been waiting for several days for the negotiation to be closed between the two clubs so he can take a flight to the Andalusian capital.
Sevilla have asked him for patience on the matter, with them working to make space in their budget by securing exits so they have the money to bring him in.
If nothing goes wrong and they can adjust accordingly, Soumaré will arrive on loan with an option to make it permanent at the end of the season.
That will depend on Leicester, who don’t seem to have been too keen on that idea as yet but will be in negotiations with Sevilla for most of deadline day to find a solution that suits all parties.
