Leicester City have become the latest club to join the chase for Real Madrid’s Isco.

That’s according to Fichajes.net, who add the 29-year-old’s future with Los Blancos beyond this season remains unclear.

His contract runs down in 2022 and It’s ‘not clear at all’ whether the midfielder will receive a new contract from the La Liga giants.

Several clubs in England, including the Foxes, are following the former Malaga star’s situation as he ‘seems to not continue’ at the Bernabéu. Having been restricted to only 166 minutes, the Spain international doesn’t fit into Carlo Ancelotti’s plans at Real Madrid.

In order to avoid losing the player for nothing next summer, the Spanish giants would have in mind to sell Isco in January.

There are two clubs ‘leading the race right now’ and one of them is Brendan Rodgers’ side, the other being Everton, who have become the ‘latest team’ to join the chase.

Leicester have been at a ‘high level’ under the ex-Liverpool manager and Isco’s signing will help them to ‘follow this path’.
