Leicester City are ‘haggling’ with Bayer Leverkusen over their asking price for Demarai Gray to make a move for the winger happen this month.

Gray is out of favour at the King Power Stadium and, with his contract expiring in the summer, Leicester are looking at moving him on this month for a small price.

Bayer Leverkusen are keen on his signature and have been in negotiations with Leicester over a move before Monday’s deadline.

Reports in Germany today stated that the two clubs were trying to work out an agreement and stated that there were ‘positive feelings’ that something could be worked out.

A major sticking point seems to be Leicester’s valuation of Gray and BILD pick up on that point today.

They say the ‘breakthrough’ is still missing in the negotiations, with Leicester wanting €3m to sanction a deal at this month.

Leverkusen are seemingly unwilling to pay this, and that has left the Foxes’ haggling’ with the Germans to try and come to some sort of arrangement.

The newspaper explains that it is no secret that Leverkusen want a winger to complement Leon Bailey and Moussa Diaby, with manager Peter Bosz even commenting on the situation.

“We know that we are not broadly positioned at the front,” they report him saying.

“The club always looks to see if there is a good opportunity. If that really helps us, we will do it. If not, we have good players, that’s enough. “
