Fiorentina’s Igor has ended up in the sights of Leicester City and Fulham, according to  Firenzeviola.it.

The centre-back has been a regular for the Serie A side and has made 37 appearances this season. However, he was an unused substitute in his side’s 2-1 defeat to FC Basel in the semi-final of the UEFA Conference League.

His ‘not-so-certain situation’ at Fiorentina has ‘attracted interest’ from Leicester, Fulham and other clubs.

It’s claimed the Foxes and Marco Silva’s side are ‘making concrete moves’ to secure the 25-year-old’s services in the summer. Apart from the Premier League duo, there are at least two Ligue 1 sides and one club from Spain in the picture for the defender.

Igor has a deal until 2024 and his club have an option to extend it by a year. He has generated interest from several clubs and this ‘could push’ the player to snub the Serie A side’s renewal offer and ‘seek a fortune abroad’.

Fiorentina plan to contact the Brazilian’s entourage in the summer to try to agree a deal for the renewal, but their plans could change if the defender ‘asks to be sold’. A lot will depend on Igor’s will and the offers he will receive in the summer.

Time will tell if Leicester, Fulham or another club will convert their interest into an offer.
