Leicester City are in the picture to sign Hellas Verona goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipò in the summer, according to Calciomercato.
The Serie A side picked up seven points from their last four games and the 27-year-old has conceded two goals in the process. This has given them hope to avoid dropping out of the top flight as Hellas Verona are 18th in the table, a point behind 17th placed Spezia.
Montipò’s recent performances have seen a few clubs show interest in him. This is when Leicester and Galatasaray are mentioned.
The Turkish club have officially requested information, likely wanting to know the finances of a potential deal. With regards to the Foxes, it’s claimed they are in the ‘front row’ to acquire his signature after this season.
Montipò has a ‘variable price’ for the next window. It would be ‘completely different’ if his club were to be relegated from Serie A. Therefore, his future will only be discussed after this season.
Like Hellas Verona, Leicester are in a relegation battle and are currently in 18th spot.
Calciomercato don’t mention if Leicester would still consider the goalkeeper if they fail to continue in the Premier League.
