Two days ago, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio repported Leicester City are close to agreeing a €15m deal with Atalanta to sign Caleb Okoli.
Sportitalia backs it up and adds that Leicester have agreed a €15m deal with the Serie A side for the defender.
It’s claimed the two clubs had new contact on Friday to sort out the bonuses part of the deal.
Leicester are ‘very likely’ to find an agreement on that, and once it’s sorted, the 22-year-old could fly to England on Saturday to undergo medical tests with the Foxes.
Over at Tutto Atalanta, they claim the centre-back is one step away from joining Steve Cooper’s side this summer.
They also state the Championship winners and Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are sorting out the details of the deal, which should be worth around €13-15m, likely without bonuses.
If the two clubs were to find a definitive agreement in the next few hours, Okoli will make a trip to England this weekend to carry out transfer formalities, including medical tests, before completing a move to the King Power Stadium.
The Europa League winners are ‘currently finalising the transfer’ of the Italian to Leicester, which would indicate the deal can be sealed soon.
