Leicester City’s Gokhan Inler has rejected a move to Marseille as he’s made it clear he wants to join Besiktas.
Turkey’s Sporx, quoting Swiss newspaper Blick, have revealed Inler only wants to sign for Besiktas this summer, and isn’t interested in a move to France, despite an offer from Marseille.
Marseille want to replace Lass Diarra, who is very close to signing for Galatasaray according to Hurriyet, and subsequently made an offer for Inler.
Besiktas are also very close to signing Benfica’s Anderson Talisca on loan and if they can add Inler to that list, they’ll see this as a successful transfer window.
Inler made only made a limited number of Premier League appearances for Leicester last season after joining the club last summer. This resulted in the midfielder losing his place in the Switzerland team this summer in France, despite earning 82 Swiss caps for his country.
