Struggling mightily at Paris Saint-Germain since his €33m transfer from Sevilla, Grzegorz Krychowiak has been on the Ligue 1 club’s transfer list since the start of the summer.
Despite being wanted by many Premier League sides when he was in Spain, few have come forward and expressed interest in the 27-year-old during the current window, until now.
According to RMC Sport in France, Leicester City are ‘thinking about’ the Poland international, who see him as a replacement for Danny Drinkwater as the Englishman edges closer to teaming up once again with N’Golo Kanté, this time at Chelsea.
Having bought Neymar from Barcelona, and seemingly very close to signing Mbappé from Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain would very much welcome the Foxes’ money for a player who has only made 16 appearances since his arrival and doesn’t appear to be in Unai Emery’s plans for the coming season.
Whether Krychowiak is a like for like replacement for Drinkwater (he’s a bit more defensive), we’re not entirely sure, but it seems Craig Shakespeare thinks he is.
