Earlier on Wednesday, there was still some confusion regarding what would be happening with Stefano Sensi and his transfer to Leicester City.
Injuries picked up by key Inter Milan players led to reports that the midfielder could be staying with the Serie A club until next week, although Gazzetta dello Sport said that wouldn’t be case.
Now, Gianluca Di Marzio brings his information to the table regarding the Leicester signing, and it’s great news for the Foxes.
The journalist took to X, formerly Twitter, to reveal that the deal between the Championship side and their Serie A counterparts is ‘set to proceed’, and should be ‘completed in the coming hours’.
Previous reports have suggested Leicester are paying a minimal fee of around €2m to sign Sensi, whose contract with Inter was due to expire at the end of the season.
His lack of game time and the Foxes’ position in the Championship were all enticing reasons for him to make the move with the hope of playing Premier League football next season.
