The Copa America ended earlier this week and Euro 2016 is also in its final stages, and that means now newspapers in Europe will focus more on the transfer market.
Leicester City star N’Golo Kante is on the wishlist of several top clubs in Europe, and could possibly return to his homeland this summer.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Paris-Saint Germain are in constant touch with the representatives of Kante.
It is reported talks first started in March between PSG’s sporting director, Olivier Letang, and Kante himself.
PSG, however, face competition from several clubs. L’Equipe reckon every top club in Europe, except for Barcelona and Bayern Munich, have shown interest to sign Kante.
Real Madrid are also keen, but haven’t contacted his agents yet. Chelsea are also in the race, but the player is taking time to arrive to a decision.
Spanish newspaper went big with Kante to Real Madrid claims on Wednesday, with Marca and AS having the story of their front page.
Leicester’s hope of keeping the midfielder next season is diminishing, and L’Equipe suggest the possibility of more talks between PSG and Kante’s representatives after the Euros.
Kante’s situation seems to be different to that of Jamie Vardy, and a contract renewal indeed looks very difficult with so many big clubs linked to the French midfielder.
Leicester City are set for talks with several clubs over the future of Kante, and it may be better if it’s over as quickly as possible.
