Leicester City have reportedly sent a representative to Brazil to sign Grêmio attacker Luan.
According to ESPN Brasil, Grêmio have set a €25m price during the recent approaches for the player. Despite being a very important part of the squad, the club are not ruling out the transfer as long as they can get a very good fee.
The story says that Leicester have sent the official to negotiate for Eduardo Sasha, who belongs to Grêmio’s local rivals Internacional. However, due to the differences in the talks and things not getting any close, the Foxes have turned their attention to Luan.
Alongside Gabriel Jesus and Gabigol, Luan is one of the best prospects in Brazil. We reckon he’s twice the player Sasha is, so it’s no wonder why Grêmio are asking for double of the Inter striker’s price.
Grêmio have 70% of Luan’s economic rights, and the 23-year-old’s contract expires in 2018. The player was called up for the Olympics, so it would be a good idea for Leicester to make the signing before then.
