As the Brazilian media continues to report Lucas Beraldo’s situation at São Paulo, there are some good and bad news for Leicester City.
The good news is that, according to UOL, the Tricolor have just turned down an offer from Zenit for the defender.
It’s said the Russian side placed €18m on the table, and São Paulo said no, as they wait for bigger offers.
The bad news is that the Brazilian reports regarding the Tricolor’s high request were apparently right, as they won’t accept negotiating for less than €20m.
Leicester City remain interested, though, as the Foxes are said to be ‘preparing an offer’ worth around those €20m.
Recent reports have been claiming that the player’s staff may not be fully convinced that he should accept a move to the Championship, so that’s another barrier the Foxes need to overcome.
Since São Paulo are willing to make some sales as early as December, it seems it won’t take long for Beraldo to be sold, and that should also be a sign for Leicester City to move quickly and convincingly for the defender.
