Boubakary Soumaré is about to leave Leicester City for Sevilla, according to reports.
French outlet Foot Mercato claim the midfielder is ‘on his way’ to the La Liga side on loan with an option to buy.
For now, there’s no information on how much Sevilla will need to pay Leicester City to purchase him at the end of the season.
On Friday morning, the Spanish media had already been claiming that Soumaré was ‘crazy’ about moving to the La Liga side, and waiting for approval to get on a plane to Seville.
The 24-year-old still has a long contract with Leicester City, running until 2026, so his return to the Foxes in case of promotion to the Premier League should not be ruled out.
Following relegation last season, it became clear that Soumaré would be leaving the Foxes, as he wasn’t used by the club for a single minute in the Championship.
The Frenchman is now added to the long list of players who left the club this summer.
