RMC say Wesley Fofana has made a ‘strong gesture’ towards Leicester City, as he agitates for a move away from the club.

He’s taken references to the Foxes off his social media, and has made posts suggesting he’s in ‘reflection mode’.

It’s been clear that agents have been working to find Fofana a new club for a while, or at least to try and drum up interest in the defender. That’s often been done via the French media, and has often been completely transparent.

L’Equipe believe Leicester City would be looking for around €60m to part ways with the player, whereas English reports have put the required figure much higher.

Chelsea have been the club most linked, and RMC explain that Fofana believes playing for a top European club, and presumably in the Champions League, will help his chances of catching the attention of France manager Didier Deschamps.

With the Qatar World Cup being just months away, that desire is influencing many transfer attempts. However, Leicester hold the power here, regardless of what Fofana or his agents do.
