Leicester City made a new visit to the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon last night, according to a report from newspaper A Bola.
Officials from the Premier League side watched Benfica playing Lyon in the Champions League group stage, in a match which ended with a 2-1 win for the home side.
The Foxes are often watching matches in Portugal, and A Bola doesn’t mention who they could have an eye on this time.
Leicester City have been linked to Benfica right-back André Almeida for a couple of years now, but since he had been recovering from an injury, he didn’t leave the bench last night.
This is not the first time we’ve a trip from Leicester City officials to the Estádio da Luz when André Almeida doesn’t play. So either the Foxes have another target at the Lisbon side, or they’re just badly informed about when he’ll feature.
Other Benfica players such as Ruben Dias and Alex Grimaldo had great performances for the home side. Their goals were scored by Rafa Silva and Pizzi, while it was Memphis Depay who’ found the back of the net for Lyon.
