The loan spell that Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet had at Torino this season was good enough for the Italian club to want to keep him, so this possibility is now discussed in the Italian media.

It turns out this would be a very simple story in case the Turin side triggered the buying option they have, which stands at €15m and sounds like a reasonable price, since the player already proved himself in Serie A.

Torino, however, don’t want to pay that much and don’t want to pay it now. So their plan is revealed by website Tutto Mercato Web.

It’s said the Italian club are proposing a new loan where they’d have an obligation to buy the player for only €10m at the end of the 2022/23 season.

According to the report, Leicester City are not convinced of that yet. And it turns out even though Praet’s desire could be ‘decisive’, it’s said he is not ‘not sure he wants to stay’.

So it seems there’s a lot of work to be done by Torino to get this operation completed.
