As Leicester City continue to be linked to Benfica’s Odysseas Vlachodimos, the Portuguese media is back speaking about this chase today.
Newspaper A Bola features a short article to say that despite the English press claiming the Foxes ‘prepare to attack’ the goalkeeper, they learned that there’s ‘no concrete offer’ been made for him so far.
The outlet brings some new information this time, saying it’s unlikely Benfica will accept letting Vlachodimos go before their clashes against FC Midtjylland in the Champions League, which are taking place on the 2nd and 9th of August.
Still, that doesn’t mean the Eagles won’t accept to sell the Leicester City target later. It’s just said that after those matches, the Lisbon side will evaluate the situation carefully, and demand between €10m and €12m for the transfer.
A Bola say Benfica already have a list of potential replacement for Vlachodimos, having already made some ‘exploratory contacts’, so they seem to be getting ready to let him go.
The Greek player is said to be a target for Leicester City in case Kasper Schmeichel leaves the club this summer, so this is another process that must be considered before the Foxes actually go for the substitute.
