Called up to the France squad to replace the injured Raphael Varane following a good season with Sevilla, Adil Rami could be looking for the final big challenge of his career after telling his Euro teammates he was thinking of leaving.

Having established himself in Spain rather comfortably with Valencia and Sevilla as well as giving Serie A a try with AC Milan, the French centre-back is tempted by the Premier League.

Taking into account the three-years left on his Sevilla contract, as well as his importance within the La Liga team, it might take a handsome fee to convince them to let him go.

France Football on Tuesday claim Leicester City have enquired regarding his services but are yet to follow up with an official offer.

The French newspaper reckon there’s only a 25% chance of him leaving this summer, which sounds about right considering the aforementioned points.

With Wes Morgan and Robert Huth clearly first choice in Claudio Ranieri’s team, at least for the coming season, following their previous heroics, would Rami be able to break up their partnership?

We’re not so sure.
