Leicester City have cooled off their interest in RWDM midfielder Pierre Dwomoh after he picked up an injury while playing for Belgium’s U21s.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that negotiations between the player and Leicester have been ‘less successful’ thanks to the player’s recent injury.
Leicester have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old since May, with it explained at that point they were eyeing up a move for him.
A subsequent report stated that they had held talks with the player’s representatives about a potential move this summer and were looking to get ahead of Luton Town, another of his suitors, for a potential €3m transfer.
There’s been no update on the matter since the end of May and Tavolieri reports that’s because of an injury picked up while playing for Belgium’s U21’s in the clash with Morocco at the beginning of June.
That’s led to Leicester cooling their interest somewhat and the last few meetings between the player ‘have been less successful’ as a result.
He reports that while the Foxes continue to monitor Dwomoh ‘from a distance’ it seems they’re not pushing to sign him as they once were, thanks to that injury.
